Buy Berlin will guide you through every step of the way through to legal handover of your property, this gives total peace of mind and makes for a hassle free transaction. Even thereafter Buy Berlin will be on hand to offer asset management, furnished corporate rental service, and our resale division will be on hand for the eventual resale.

  1. To secure property, a reservation and small deposit giving normally four weeks’ exclusivity is required
  2. Introduction to Berlin-based lawyer specialised in assisting international clients
  3. Client would sign a power of attorney for the lawyer to act on their behalf, which can be signed at their local German embassy
  4. Within the four-week exclusivity period a legal review report will be provided to the client
  5. A mortgage application can also be processed in this time if the client needs financing
  6. Once the client is satisfied and has finance in place the lawyer can sign the purchase contract on their behalf at the Berlin Notary
  7. After the contract is signed the client will be advised when purchase price or first stage payment will become payable, normally around 6 weeks after contract is signed.
  8. The lawyer will oversee the entire conveyancing process and ensure that you receive good title
  9. Prior to legal handover the client will be advised on furnishings, if required, and be introduced to the property and tenancy manager
